The Watts Riots started when people where mad when police arrested a woman who didnt even do anything unless you consider trying to help your son who also was stopped by the police.There we a lot of burnings during this riot,103rd St was burned to the ground and witnesses described it as "Charcoal Alley"In order for this to end the National Guard had to step in.In the 5 day event, 34 people were killed and there was $40 million in damages.In this video you can see more in detail what happened during these riots. |
